Too early to tell if lagshot is making a difference
The service was over the top. I have worked with a couple of players and see progress with them already. We start captains practice on January 10th. I am sure we will see more progress with even more players. There is nothing like actual feel.
I have been playing golf for 42 years, and I have been between 2 to 6 handicap most of my life, my short game is very good, so that’s what keeps my handicap low.
I am 56 years old, 5’7” 155 lbs.
I know I’m getting older, but because I’m hard headed, I’m not willing to use irons that are more forgiving and that goes a longer distance.
Because I’m getting older, I’m not as flexible, less power, less zip through the ball.
Though I want to, I just can’t, resulting in swinging bad.
Coming over the top, lunging, hitting from the top of my backswing, causing me to cast, and early extend, resulting my tee shots to hook, and duck hook under pressure.
I tried so many different swing correcting gadgets it’s almost ridiculous.
I was always looking for a softer (flexible) shafted club, with less torque, and a bit more weight, but there was nothing available out there.
I ordered the Lag Golf 7 iron, as well as the Driver, and I knew right away, just by swinging the 7 iron, it forced me to swing with a better sequence, and prevented me from hitting from the top, good tempo, and because of the weight, I was forced to transfer my weight properly.
The following day, I took it to my club, and hit balls in the range, surprisingly, I hit a lot of really good shots, with consistent trajectory and very straight!
Tried hitting the ball harder, and because of its weight, it forced me to use my entire body, with more legs and gluts, still hitting it really good. I also noticed a increase in club head speed (because I was swinging in a better sequence).
I played that same day, and was swinging effortlessly, and was not hitting from the top, lunging, or casting.
My drives were going straight with authority!
I had 2 birdies and 2 bogies, but that’s from putting poorly, shot an even par, but the thing is, the swing felt incredibly good, and in control!
Very satisfied with my forever friend (Lag Golf swing aid)
and it really is a swing aid!
I’ve been telling all my golfing buddies about it.
Now, I can workout and try to work on gaining more club head speed, and without duck hooking the ball.
Thank you for bringing fun and hope back to my golf game!
Used my Lagshot Driver for one week intensely … Hit 7/14 fairways today compared to a previous best of 3. I have a 280m drive but always a fade. As a 20 handicap playing for 10 months it’s a 100% improvement in one week. Hit 2/4 Greens on Par3’s as well due to straight hitting. Worth more than any class or training to date. Should break 90 very soon.
These have helped me really get the feel of slowing down and making full turns. Only thing I would change is the size of the 7iron head. It’s absolutely gigantic. Something with a smaller blade would be much appreciated.
